The Making of an AP
     I requested an AP through a Toronto artist, Sam Agro
was for the set Classic Mythology by Perna Studios and I thought I would display how the process worked
First a character and price was arranged - I was looking for Ryujin - the Dragon God
Sam sent me the following thumbnail sketches to choose from

not sure how, I was supposed to choose only one, but I was drawn to sketch 3

next Sam sent over the penciling he did on the card; last chance to change my mind on anything

next comes the inking, I am a big fan of just pencils and ink - I think you can tell a real artist by just their lines and that sometimes they can hide flaws in the colouring
- no flaws in the inks below :) 
I love how the little things bring a story to the picture - like the netting off the boat
and check out how the inking brings dimension to the waves - so very nice

Now what we've all been waiting for, the final product - as with most sketches - the scan doesn't do it any justice - always best to hold them in your hands and enjoy the artists work

I really enjoyed this experience with Sam - time frame in total was under 2 weeks, which is unheard of, but Sam is new and just breaking out, so I am sure as his time frame may be a little longer in the future - so get them now !

This has been one of the best artist experience I have ever had obtaining an AP and am extremely happy with the final product and highly recommend Sam's work to everyone
